The Wrath of God…

So I was just talking to a friend of mine. (He may even be reading this right now!) Anyway, he told me how he spent his Birthday drunk. I told him that didnt sound like much fun, but he said it was.

I am thinking about eternity today, I was thinking about it before I even saw my friend today. I just got an email from another friend and it seems he is not doing that well in a sin area either. Sin is everywhere. The bible teaches that “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Roman 6:23” I know what it is like to live and sin and not care and think it is fun, kind of. I also know what it is like to feel trapped by sins, I still have my days of defeat. In these areas I have some compassion. Today the Holy Spirit was reminding me, that people are going to experience the wrath of God. I almost want to cry as I think about this, because it is where so many people are headed, thankfully by the grace of God I have learned about the second part of the verse. The eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord part.

Some verses I was reading today.

Col. 3:5 Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 On account of these the wrath of God is coming. 7 In these you too once walked, when you were living in them.

1 Thes 5:8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. 9For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ

My prayer is that God would me to tell more people about the Life changing and saving message of Jesus! God give me opportunity today to share you with people who are under your wrath. Give me boldness, give me your heart when I do it.

“Even if we persuade only a few, we shall obtain very great rewards, for like good laborers, we shall receive recompense from the Master.” Justin Martyr

How to save a life by “The Fray”

Step one you say we need to talk
He walks you say sit down it’s just a talk
He smiles politely back at you
You stare politely right on through
Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
And you begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
