I have met a lot of people as I go out to coffee and try to read and Study, I met with one unemployed friend for like 4 hours for breakfast, he was having trouble figuring out what to do next. This post is meant to lighten the heart because unemployment really can stink! God has provided for me and I am attending school, but I know many are not in my boat. Many people are unemployed not by choice, but against thier will. I really think it is a great time to seek the Lord and find out the new plans He has for us seeing how our plans may have suddenly come to a halt. I find a lot of comfort in the words of Jesus when he says “I know” I was listening to a sermon from James Macdonald on Revelation 2:3 “I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name’s sake, and you have not grown weary.” v.7 “‘I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich)” Wow what a comfort that in the middle of our pain and suffering Jesus says, “I know” I know where you are and I know what you are going through! Jesus Christ knows exactly and He endured much worse for us. Our light and momentary affliction is nothing compared to the cross He endured in our place and not only endured, He went willingly. I think of that song “oh what savior, oh what a friend!” Thank you Jesus that you know what many of us are going through!
Jesus says, “But you are Rich” if you are in Christ you have a great inheritance that this world cannot take. Your father knows what you need before you even ask! And He is not only willing but He is able. What don’t you talk to Him today and pour out your heart. What else have you got to do : )
